Now more than ever, it essential that we support our smaller local businesses to ensure their continued stability and success. At Krueger & Hernandez, we recognize this important responsibility and, in furtherance of our ongoing mission to help others, we have decided to help promote our smaller local businesses with –KH’s Small Business of the Week (“SBW”).
Help us … help our neighbors!
This week’s featured SBW is Quivey’s Grove!
The restaurant and Stable Tap opened May 23, 1980. Both buildings are now listed in the National Register or Historic Places. Since opening, the authenticity and quality of the buildings has been matched by the restaurant’s food and service.
Madison’s Winter Restaurant Week starts this Sunday, January 19th thru Friday, January 24th! Quivey’s is once again a participating restaurant!
See their special restaurant week three course lunch and dinner menus on their website.
(Reservations strongly suggested)
Dine in either the Stone House or the Stable Grill, all part of a restored 1855 farmhouse and stable. The food at Quivey’s Grove is as authentic as the decor.
The house is an Italianate fieldstone mansion with eighteen inch thick walls and thirteen foot ceilings. Enjoy the wholesome food of our forebears requires sweet butter, fresh potatoes, and heavy cream. They do their own baking and cooking from scratch.
The entry way and main bar room were added on to the original 1855 stone stable in 1989. Virtually all of the building materials were salvaged from other 19th century barns. Behind is a full service kitchen built in 1989. Relax at the Stable’s bar and try one of their many handmade cocktails or enjoy their delicious cooking inspired by the local towns and farming communities of our area.
